A San Francisco story

On Monday, June 25, newspapers reported the arrest of prominent San Francisco homosexual activist Larry Brinkin on charges of possession of child pornography.

Headlines referred to Brinkin as a “San Francisco Gay Rights Icon.” The details, as reported in part, by the SF Bay Citizen: “One photo shows a child about 2 to 3 years old being sexually abused, according to the search warrant. Another shows an adult male attempting to receive oral sex from a small child.

“Brinkin’s account was linked to several Yahoo discussion groups on the sexual exploitation of children, according to the search warrant. Emails from Brinkin’s account to other users contained stories police suspect were fictional accounts written by Brinkin. The stories describe the rape and torture of African American children, according to the search warrant. One of the emails contained the words ‘White Power! White Supremacy!’

“Investigators believe members of the groups were also sharing pictures of children.”

Although Brinkin was arrested on Friday, June 22, and was released from jail on Saturday, June 23, the news of the arrest was not reported until Monday June 25. First reports of the arrest came from the SF Weekly, a free alternative San Francisco newspaper. Speculation was that the news of Brinkin’s arrest was delayed until Monday the 25th, so as not to overshadow the city’s Gay Pride Parade, which was held on June 24.

In 2003 Brinkin had been honored as one of the Gay Pride parade’s honorary grand marshals. The SF Pride website said “Larry Brinkin has been an activist in San Francisco for over 35 years, co-founding Bay Area Gay Liberation, the Lesbian/Gay Labor Alliance, and the Gay & Lesbian Alternative Dispute Resolution Service. He was a pioneer in the struggle for domestic partner benefits and currently is the manager of the LGBT&HIV Division of the SF Human Rights Commission. He played a major role in recent years in the struggle for transgender rights.”

Brinkin is far from the only objectionable character to be honored at the parade. In 1999 the parade’s grand marshal was Harry Hay, who had defended NAMBLA, the National Man Boy Love Association. In a 1983 New York University forum, Hay had said “"[I]f the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what thirteen-, fourteen-, and fifteen-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world."

Brinkin served for 21 years on San Francisco’s Human Rights Commission, an organization whose function is to promote the acceptance of the LGBT agenda. During Brinkin’s tenure, the commission included Patrick Mulcahey, a former vice-president of the pastoral council at San Francisco’s notorious Most Holy Redeemer parish.

As CalCatholic reported in September of 2010, Mulcahey keeps a “slave” and is an open proponent for, and gives workshops on, the “Master/slave” lifestyle. On August 11, 2009 CalCatholic reported that “AdoptionSF.org, a joint project of the City of San Francisco’s Human Services Agency and Family Builders by Adoption,” was advertising for adoptive “dads” on the “Leather” page of the homosexualist Bay Area Reporter, and the “Porn” page of the SF Bay Times. Following the CalCatholic story, the ads were pulled.

Brinkin’s standing in the world of San Francisco politics can scarcely be overstated. At his retirement party, held at San Francisco’s City Hall, proclamations were read from then-Mayor Gavin Newsom, from powerful and openly homosexual state assemblyman Mark Leno, and from the openly homosexual State Senator Tom Ammiano. Supervisor David Campos lauded Brinkin.

Openly homosexual Supervisor Bevan Dufty, who acted as a consultant between Family Builders by Adoption and Catholic Charities of San Francisco when the disastrous “gay adoption” compromise was crafted, was in attendance. In 2004, Brinkin was honored by KQED TV, San Francisco’s PBS station as one of San Francisco’s “LGBT Heroes” during the station’s celebration of LGBT Pride Month. Following his retirement, the San Francisco board of supervisors, led by Supervisor Dufty, declared the first week of February, 2010 to be “Larry Brinkin Week” in the city.

Evil begets evil. We all have a responsibility to VOTE for the best candidate possible to save our Country, rather than for selfish desires. CCC: 1759 "An evil action cannot be justified by reference to a good intention" (cf. St. Thomas Aquinas, Dec. praec. 6). The end does not justify the means."

The constant obsession of this site with HOMOSEXUAL issues is unbalanced to say the least! Please get your obsession under control!! It would not surprise me if this site opened a GAY bathhouse!!

Studies show that while only 2% of the population is homosexual, 34% of child sex abusers are homosexual, meaning homosexuals are disproportionately disposed to child sex abuse compared to heterosexuals. This information is widely available on the Internet, despite being suppressed by the media.

So their motives aren't as pure as they want us to believe. For us in the crowd we only can pray and fast, pray and fast.....the rest is up to our Lord. The big lie is also coming out of the closet.....hooray....

Icon? Please! The man is an iconoclast, not an icon.

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 7:49 AM By Laurette Elsberry
Maryanne, this guy is an icon in San Francisco, not the real world.....The more I think about the fire than rained down on Sodom, the more I wonder when a catastrophe will hit the City of San Francisco. When there are 50 just men in the City? When there are 30 just men in the City? When there are......?

"During Brinkin’s tenure, the commission included Patrick Mulcahey, a former vice-president of the pastoral council at San Francisco’s notorious Most Holy Redeemer parish." I think this may be the "Eucharistic minister" who several years ago at small group of people reacquainting themselves with Catholicism lightly remarked that he had distributed the host to people he "knew were not Catholic."

How is the gay community going to spin this one? It is sad that every priest is now viewed as a molester, but men like this are praised and almost worshiped. This clearly shows the link between homosexuality, the perversion of sexuality and how it morphs into pedophilia. I don’t know how people can deny this. The reality is, sin begets more and greater sin because sin is never satisfied. God Love You.

Gosh, Miles - a fellow politically prominent enough to have San Francisco designate a week in his honor is uncovered as pedophile and reporting it constitutes an obsession? Is it proof of obsession that the San Francisco Chronicle reported it too?

Juergensen - What studies? And why should it matter? A crime is a crime . . .

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 9:24 AM By Sheila
Thomas Edward Miles, please read Juergensen's comment below yours. This article today shows why we shine a light on this disgusting, evil, immoral activity. This activity will bring God's justice on this country, just as it did in biblical days.

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 9:58 AM By Abeca Christian
I'm not surprised, men of this caliber into gay activism are very disordered that the evil one uses their disorder to lead them to scandalize children as well. The media won't make a big fuss over this news, I wish they did to expose the ugly of these activist.

I am nauseous.

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 10:22 AM By max
PEGGY, you probably meant to say "i am nauseated." (nauseous: Causing nausea; sickening-----nauseated: To be feeling, or having been caused to feel nausea.) but lots of people make this little bitty mistake. i feel your pain, and share your nauseated feeling...to steal the innocence of children...arg!...wheres my light saber???

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 11:05 AM By Susanne
@Peggy, well we all better have plenty of barf bags ready because it is going to be a long hot summer leading up to the election this November. We better get off our rear ends and get involved in voting the Obamanation and his minions out of office.

Thomas Edward Miles-The reason this site puts so many stories about homosexuality is because this is such a threat to our society. This is the second largest threat, only second to abortion. The aim of homosexuality is the destruction of the family and is as anti-life as abortion. CCD devotes as much or more attention to abortion issues because CCD is trying to promote a culture of life and is showing us violations of life so we can fight for the Lord. God Love You.

I think MD is right. Sin begets sin. But in more uplifting news-Archbishop Fulton Sheens cause has advanced so that he can be beatified if a miracle is attributed to his intercession. And the Vatican has ruled in favor of Fr. Pavone that he is not suspended from ministry outside the diocese of Amarillo, but that he is obliged to obey his bishop and continue in his assignment there. The Bishop of Amarillo will allow him to participate in some pro-life events if he and the bishop are in agreement of his role and function.

No wonder homosexuality is one of the four atrocities that cry out to the Lord for vengeance. Disgusting! This is what was root cause of the priest abuse scandal, the likes of these sodomites and perverts infiltrating the priesthood. Every day that passes is another day closer to Judgement Day. These vile practitioners of sin will soon face God's wrath.

Lordy, Ms. Scarlett. Is there NOTHING to which you won't attach a negative reference to Most Holy Redeemer? Have any of you actually visited and worshipped there? I'm not counting the mole who sends you lots of information.

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 5:06 PM By JLS
Stay at MHR, jimmymac. Help keep the homosexuals there so they don't bother people.

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 6:57 PM By Mark from PA
Is Larry Brinkin a Catholic? How does he rate this lengthy article? I don't see where this has anything to do with the Catholic Church? If he is involved in child pornography, a lot of the people in San Francisco will distance themselves from him. This is terrible stuff.

What do they worship at Holy Redeemer Ms. Scarlett Jimmy Mac? Why would anyone want to visit it?

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2012 9:03 PM By Rose
Jimmy Mac, I was at MHR at a funeral Mass in the late 90s. The deceased was a notorious self-proclaimed "gay" priest with AIDS. It was sickening to listen to the accolades paid to this perverted man. I prayed for him, but most in attendance had more fun praising him and laughing about his escapades in the "gay" San Francisco Castro.

Well, no surprises here; after all, we ARE referring to Sodom-by-the-Bay, are'nt we? Actually, I've only been In San Francisco ONCE in my life, and that was when I was in the army, stationed @ the old Ft. Ord, with the 40th Armored Band, and three of us went to San Fran on a Saturday night to hear the legendary John Coltrane and his quartet.(ruined for me by his drummer who was so loud he drowned out Coltrane and the rest of the group) But over the years, I've read a good deal about San Francisco and it's increasing radicalization and nauseating gay culture, and have had NO DESIRE to ever go back. But just reading about Larry Brinkin and his depraved cohorts re-inforces my conviction to avoid the place at any cost. And why aren't all these people serving fiifty-year sentences for all their evil acts? I think it's because in San Francisco's sodden environment these people like Brinkin, et al, are PROTECTED, PATRONIZED and PROMOTED by wicked people in high places. Nothing else can really explain how they seem to prosper where they shouldn't. But here's praying that they ALL get the comeuppance that they truly deserve. May the Lord Jesus have mercy on all. GOD BLESS, MARKRITE

God will not be mocked, and he gets especially angry when His Mother is mocked. I fear what is coming, but I also know that it will be God's Justice and I look forward to that. God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher

"Kenneth M. Fisher----God will not be mocked, and he gets especially angry when His Mother is mocked." KENNETH, i hate to break it to you, but GOD will be mocked, and is mocked daily, by people doing all kinds of wicked things. GOD was mocked when JESUS was spat upon, scouraged, and nailed to the cross; GOD is mocked when people do horrible violent things in the name of religion; GOD is mocked when abortions are carried out under the name of "choice" or women's rights; GOD is mocked when genocide takes places against his children. GOD will be mocked, but our duty is to make sure we are not th eones doing the mocking, not the condoing of it.

Posted Friday, June 29, 2012 8:03 PM By JLS
max, with God a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day; God will not be mocked. But of course for those of you who do not believe in eternal punishment for unrepentant sinners, I can see why you'd put it your way.

Posted Friday, June 29, 2012 9:41 PM By Kenneth M. Fisher
max, 9:48 AM, Would you have preferred that I wrote "in the end, God will not be mocked"? God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher

Posted Sunday, July 01, 2012 6:34 AM By MacDonald
It seems to me that one should say: "God should not be mocked." Because those who mock God will face severe consequences in the next life, and, sometimes, in this. When I read the Psalms, this comes through often, the message that those who seem to prosper, in spite of their defiance of the Lord, will have to face him in the end. And not be happy.

Posted Sunday, July 01, 2012 9:35 PM By JLS
Even "in the end" is "now" in the case of many souls.

Posted Sunday, July 01, 2012 9:36 PM By JLS
The statement, "God is not mocked" is not a warning; it is a fact. God provides many warnings, but this is not one of them.
